1. As a Cask Hunter, you invest in part of a cask. As with all investments, you run a risk on some of your investment. We can insure a number of things (fire and theft), and we do. What we cannot insure is a cask that leaks. In practice, this happens in 1 in 300 casks. So it's a small risk, but we want to mention it!

2. If a cask leaks and therefore yields no profit, you lose your investment in the whisky. Initially, you pay under bond, meaning only the whisky itself. We take a modest margin, but we don't want a margin on a cask that hasn't been bottled due to leakage. Note that a completely empty cask yields no profit at all; most leaking casks lose whisky, but don't completely empty. With a completely empty cask, your risk is 80% of your share price.

3. You'll receive a certificate for each share you participate in. You can always see which casks you've shared in in your account. All casks are or will be stored at Whiskybroker in Creetown, Newton Stuart, under the Whiskydudes BV account. We store all cask share data both on our website and offline.

4. We ship bottles after receiving your final payment, including any applicable excise duties and VAT for the country in question. However, we cannot be held liable for any customs duties imposed by a country. Please check local regulations beforehand.

5. Shipping to countries outside the EU is possible, but please ask us about the possibilities before ordering a share.
